International Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Course
Theme: Laboratory Medicine: The Art & Science leading to Cure of Disease
This course was organised by the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Hyderabad, and was presented as a four-day academic programme for delegates across Southeast Asia.
The event focused on the role of laboratory medicine in accurate and timely diagnosis, treatment guidance, and patient care, with emphasis on learning through clinical cases.

Course structure
The four-day course was divided into four tracks:
- Track 1 – Clinical Microbiology and Infection Control
- Track 2 – Haematology and Transfusion Medicine
- Track 3 – Clinical Biochemistry and Chemical Pathology
- Track 4 – Histopathology and Cytopathology
Tracks 1 and 2 were scheduled on 19th and 20th August 2025, while Tracks 3 and 4 were scheduled on 21st and 22nd August 2025.
Event overview
The course highlighted laboratory medicine as an essential part of modern healthcare, covering histopathology, cytopathology, haematology, clinical pathology, transfusion medicine, clinical biochemistry, microbiology, infection control, immunology, and histocompatibility.
